Plain-English summary

  • The PayslipIQ tools run in your browser. Numbers you type into the Pay Stub Checker, Paycheck Calculator, Overtime Calculator, Bonus Calculator, and Paycheck Comparison are processed in your browser and not stored on PayslipIQ servers.
  • If you give us your email address through the email-capture form, we store it with our email provider so we can send you the things you asked for.
  • If you upload a pay stub image or document in any future feature that requires it, please remove or cover your Social Security number, bank details, address, and any identifiers first. PayslipIQ does not need that information to explain a stub.
  • We do not sell your data.
  • You can ask us to delete your data at any time.

What we collect

Information you actively provide

  • Tool inputs. Numbers and selections you enter into the calculators (gross pay, filing status, state, deductions). Processed in your browser; not transmitted to PayslipIQ servers in v1 of the platform.
  • Email address. When you sign up via the email-capture form, we record your email plus the source label (e.g. hub, pay-stub-checker, premium-report) and your consent.
  • Pay stub uploads. If a future feature accepts an upload, we will tell you exactly what is retained and for how long, and we will require explicit consent.

Information collected automatically

  • Server logs. Standard hosting logs (IP, user agent, request URL, response status). Retained 30 days. Used for security and abuse detection only.
  • Privacy-respecting analytics. Aggregate, cookie-less analytics about which pages are visited. No personal data, no cross-site tracking.

How we use information

  • To run the tools you asked for.
  • To send the emails you signed up for.
  • To improve content based on aggregate page-level usage.
  • To detect and prevent abuse.

How we share information

  • Email service provider (Resend or equivalent) processes outgoing emails on our behalf.
  • Hosting provider (Vercel) serves the site and handles standard logs.
  • Analytics provider (Plausible or equivalent privacy-first tool) processes aggregate page views.
  • We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data.

Cookies

We aim to operate without third-party tracking cookies. Where we use storage at all, it is limited to remembering your tool inputs across the session in your browser only.

Your rights

  • Access — ask us what we have.
  • Deletion — ask us to delete your records.
  • Correction — ask us to correct an email or unsubscribe.
  • Portability — ask us to send you a copy of your records.
  • California residents (CCPA / CPRA), Virginia (CDPA), Colorado (CPA), Connecticut (CTDPA), Utah (UCPA), and similar US state-level rights are honored where applicable.

Children

PayslipIQ is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use HTTPS everywhere, modern security headers (X-Content-Type-Options, X-Frame-Options, Referrer-Policy, Permissions-Policy), and limit data collection to what is necessary. No system is perfectly secure — please remove sensitive identifiers from anything you upload.

International users

PayslipIQ is operated for a US audience and hosted on US infrastructure. If you access the site from outside the US, you consent to processing in the US.

We will update this page and adjust the "Last updated" date at the top.
